Oso Mudslide: Visit Stilly Valley Campaign: Oso Washington is home to the most horrific slide ever experienced in Washington State. 43 people perished in the tragedy. The agency developed an integrated campaign for economic recovery. The effort was designed to bring back visitors and outdoor enthusiasts. The campaign showcased the region’s wide variety of recreational opportunities, spectacular scenery, and unique local events while remaining sensitive to the community. Broadcast media, earned media, social media, radio, and digital advertising were utilized in the “VisitStilly.com” campaign. Revenue increased 2.5% in the quarter the campaign was launched from the previous year’s Washington State Department of (quarterly) Revenue total.
