H. Vanpool Travel Poster: In fall 2015, the entrant worked with King County Metro to develop a suite of posters and other materials for members of the King County Metro Vanpool program. The program provides a commuting alternative for people that don’t want to deal with the hassle and expense of driving alone to work, but for whom the bus is not a practical option. Vanpool allows groups of five or more people to use a Metro-owned van to split commuting costs, use HOV lanes, get access to priority parking and more.
The posters were designed to create a sense of pride around vanpooling – harkening back to vintage travel posters, but featuring Metro’s Vanpool vans against scenic Seattle-area backdrops.
The posters have received rave reviews from Vanpool members (as well as Metro staff). The posters are also being used as part of ongoing member recruiting efforts for the Vanpool program.
