J. More Than A Paycheck: Fewer than 1% of Washington State Patrol applicants met the minimum qualifications to become a trooper. WSP had been running the same messaging for years. They worked with the entrant’s in-house research company to find the best messaging to attract potential troopers. They discovered that their current and past troopers cared about helping the community, job security, and making the world safer for their kids.
