G. Borne of Fire: There is an area in eastern Washington known as The Burn, so named for the ancient tradition of burning crops to enrich the soil there for future growth. Borne of Fire represents the fruits of that foresight. The entrant tasked to create a brand that would make a bold statement about the connection between the wine and the places it’s made.

They immediately gravitated toward the idea of fire as a cleansing force and an agent of rebirth. They wanted an eye-catching treatment for the graphics that visually tells the story. They started by leveraging a super tall format label to maximize our canvas. The phoenix-like creature, which morphs from the vine itself, is a custom illustration that evokes a dramatic spirit of the vine coming to life. Flecks of irregular and distressed foil capture the intensity of fire and the incredible power of nature to reinvent itself. And with the addition of subtle finishings such as sculpted embossing and double bumps of black, this label reflects the rugged yet elegant story of its terroir.
