The Greater Good Campaign: The goal of The Seattle Times’ 2016 Greater Good Campaign was to call attention to Washington state’s public education funding crisis and drive state legislators to take action in 2017 by fully funding K-12 basic public education. This multi-faceted campaign leveraged direct mail, print/digital advertising and a dedicated website to deliver a bold visual campaign with a provocative message and call to action. The campaign ran in phases throughout 2016, each with specific audience targets and goals to raise visibility and spark discussion among legislators, business leaders and the community.
