B. Alaska + Virgin America Promotional Campaign: More flights, more rewards, more to love. This is the exciting promise from the recent merger of Alaska Airlines and Virgin America. On the heels of Alaska Airlines’ successful rebrand earlier this year, they once again partnered with the entrant—this time to create a promotional livery design and microsite to help celebrate and inspire excitement for this new merger promising the best of both airlines to employees, loyalists, and new flyers alike.

With a chartered course planned for up and down the West Coast, this promotional livery expresses the two airlines coming together, while celebrating their differences. The pledge of more flights, more rewards and more to love is artfully expressed through a flood of gradient color from nose to tail. Alaska’s dominant blue and Virgin’s dominant red unite in a vibrant, energetic purple that creates intrigue and reflects the magic that comes with this merger. A bold symbol to rally behind, demonstrating a sense of pride and ownership for all.

In concert with the livery’s visual expression, we partnered with Mekanism to create a microsite (http://www.differentworks.com) that addresses questions about what the merger means for both Alaska and Virgin flyers and how it will benefit them—especially the loyalty cardholders. The microsite includes a FAQs page where flyers can stay up to date on what’s happening now and what’s planned for the future, and an aggregated section of fan postings via social media.

Two airlines bringing together the best of both. Truly more to love.
