I. Taste of Padilla Bay Auction and Dinner 2017: The Padilla Bay Foundation exists to assist the Padilla Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve with funding for programs, projects, staff and capital construction. The nautical themed invitation set for the foundation’s annual dinner was inspired by the gentle and elegant environment of the reserve comprised of 11,000 acres of open waters, eelgrass beds, intertidal bays, uplands, freshwater sloughs, and high salt marsh. These habitats support herring, smelt, salmon, flatfish, Dungeness crab, ducks, eagles, shorebirds, and peregrine falcons.
