Welcome to the voting site for entries in the 7th annual MARKETING Awards competition, containing creative work produced—or initiated—by agencies with offices in Washington State during calendar year 2017. This voting site will be active through midnight May 5, 2018.
MARKETING Awards Voting Steps:
- Select a Discipline (Ad, PR, CA, etc.) on the homepage.
- Select a Category (1, 2, 3, etc.) to view a list of all entries in that Category. (Entries in each Category are listed—top to bottom—in the order submitted.)
- Click on an Entry (A, B, C) to view that entry. Then click on Return to Category Page.
- The Ballot appears at the end of each Category page. Only one vote per email address will be recorded in each Category. (Use of multiple email addresses by the same visitor is closely monitored.)
Overview: Work entered in the 47 categories is displayed in the appropriate Discipline (Ad/PR, Creative Arts, etc.) sections and the Student section. (Actual copies of the printed Graphic Arts entries were evaluated separately by the five-member Technical Subcommittee of the MARKETING Awards Committee.)
Voting: Winners will be determined by combining the votes of three separate entities: Individual online visitors, like you, members of the Awards Committee and the seven-person Expert Panel of national marcomm execs.
Voting Criteria: In contrast to traditional “vertical” awards competitions within individual disciplines (e.g., ADDYs, Totems), The MARKETING Awards are “horizontal” across multiple disciplines. Also, the voting will be accomplished by a diverse audience. As such, the array of voters will be asked to choose the best entries from an “eye of the beholder” perspective—across the board. This process has worked extremely well in the first six years.
Awards: First-place winners in each category will receive a Big M Award. Second- and third-place winners will receive Silver M and Bronze M Award Certificates, respectively. All winners—including Best of Show— will be announced at THE EVENT , to be held from 6 to 9pm Wednesday, May 23 at the Bell Harbor Conference Center on Pier 66 in Seattle. Winners will be publicized on the marketingnw.com website and in the SHOWCASE, a 40-page full-color publication to be distributed following the Awards.
The MARKETING Awards were created in 2011 to recognize the most outstanding work in each of the major disciplines that constitute marketing communications—on an annual basis. Due to the huge response and interest level in the inaugural year, the awards show— known as THE EVENT— was moved to the larger venue at the Bell Harbor Conference Center four years ago. Tickets to THE EVENT are now sold out.
Enjoy! (Please contact melissavailcoffman@gmail.com or larrycoffman@frontier.com immediately with any questions or difficulties in navigating the site.)
P.S. Please return here to view all the winners, beginning in early June.
